Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady Review | Dining, Scarlet Night & Bimini Day
If you’ve ever thought, “I want to cruise… but I don’t want it to feel like a cruise,” then let me introduce you to Virgin Voyages—specifically, the iconic Scarlet Lady.
Hubby and I recently sailed on Scarlet Lady and let me tell you… this was not your traditional cruise experience. No cheesy energy. No kids running laps around the deck (bless). Just stylish, modern, adults-only vibes with phenomenal dining, high-quality entertainment, and the kind of laid-back luxury that makes you forget what day it is.
In this blog, I’m walking you through our Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady experience—from the moment we boarded to the final night we danced the night away—so if you’ve been curious about Virgin, you can see exactly why people become repeat sailors.

First Impressions: Boarding Scarlet Lady Feels Like Checking Into a Luxury Resort
The moment we stepped onboard, we felt it:
Scarlet Lady has a whole different energy.
It’s sleek. It’s modern. It’s fun without being overwhelming. It’s the kind of ship where you could take a photo anywhere and it looks like you’re in a travel commercial.
Instead of that loud “herding people into vacation” feeling some cruises have, Virgin Voyages feels like you’ve entered a floating boutique hotel where everyone is here for a good time—and the vibe is effortless.
It’s also the little things:
Clean, stylish design
Music that sets the mood everywhere you go
Friendly crew without the pushy vibe
Every space feels curated
And because it’s adults-only, the energy feels more relaxed, more elevated, and honestly… more romantic.

Our First Stop: Sun Club Café (The Hidden Gem You’ll Want to Know About)
Now let’s be clear: we boarded and immediately did what any experienced traveler does…
We found food.
We made our way to Sun Club Café, which is hands-down one of my favorite hidden gems on the ship. It’s a little tucked away, which means it feels calm and low-key—perfect if you’re not in the mood for crowds.
Sun Club Café gives you:
Chill, quiet vibes
Quick bites without chaos
A peaceful place to ease into vacation mode
If you like discovering those “secret” spots onboard that feel like your own little corner, this is it.

Night 1: Lucky Lotus Was So Good I Didn’t Miss Razzle Dazzle
Let’s talk about dinner.
Because Virgin Voyages dining is not just “good for cruise food.”
It’s GOOD. Period.
On night one, we ate at Lucky Lotus, and whew… it set the tone for the whole trip.
The flavors were bold. The presentation was beautiful. And every bite felt like it was made to impress.
It was one of those meals where you take the first bite and instantly look across the table like:
“Okay… this is serious.”
And listen… I didn’t miss Razzle Dazzle at all.
That’s a bold statement because Razzle Dazzle is usually a go-to for many sailors, but Lucky Lotus came in like:
“You thought you were eating somewhere else tonight?”
Nope. We were happy and FULL.
The Entertainment: Persephone Was a Whole Experience
After dinner, we headed to the show Persephone, and let me tell you—this was not “cruise entertainment.”
This was:
Powerful singing
Stunning choreography
Creative storytelling
And an aerialist who absolutely STOLE the show
Now… our seats were terrible (lol). And I quickly realized this show is meant to be experienced standing near the stage, fully immersed in everything happening.
But even from a distance, the talent and production quality were still amazing.

We Didn’t Make the Pajama Party (Again)
You would think we’d make it to the pajama party at least once.
But nope.
Between dinner, the show, walking the ship, and just soaking it all in… we once again did not make it.
But honestly? No regrets.
Ending Night 1 with Lick Me Til… Ice Cream
We ended the night at Lick Me Til… Ice Cream.
Yes… that is the actual name.
And yes… it is exactly as fun as it sounds.
We grabbed ice cream, laughed, and called it the perfect sweet ending to a perfect first night.

Night 2: Scarlet Night (Our FIRST Time Ever!)
Night two was Scarlet Night, and fun fact…
With all the times hubby and I have sailed with Virgin Voyages, this was actually our FIRST time participating in Scarlet Night.
And now we finally understand why people talk about it like it’s a major event—because it is.
The ship was transformed. Everything was red. The lighting made Scarlet Lady feel like a completely different world. Everywhere you turned, something fun was happening.
It didn’t feel like a theme night. It felt like a full-on experience. A floating red party where the energy was contagious.
We settled in at the area where they were playing Latin music (because you already know… just my vibe). And yes—I got some Salsa, Bachata, and Merengue dancing in!
Scarlet Night gave:
Vibes
Energy
Memories
And the kind of fun that makes you want to book again immediately
Night 3: Dinner at The Galley + Comedy = The Chill Night We Needed
By night three, we were in our groove.
We had dinner at The Galley, which is perfect when you want something casual with variety. It’s easy, it’s fun, and it doesn’t feel like you’re settling.
After that, we hit the comedy show, and it was exactly what we needed.
That kind of laughter where your cheeks start hurting and you’re like, “Okay yes… I needed this.”
It was the perfect mix of light, fun, and relaxing.
Bimini Day: We Stayed Onboard and It Was the BEST Decision
Now let’s talk about Bimini day.
A lot of people got off the ship to explore, and Bimini is beautiful—but hubby and I decided to stay onboard.
And honestly? It was perfect.
Staying on the ship while everyone else is off becomes this peaceful luxury. The pool deck feels calmer, the ship feels quieter, and everything slows down.
We lounged at the pool area and soaked up the sunshine with ocean views and absolutely no agenda.
No rushing.
No excursion schedules.
No “where do we need to be next?”
Just vibes.
Sometimes the best travel day is the day where you do nothing… beautifully.

Last Night: Extra Virgin + Latin Dancing (Because Why Stop Now?)
On our last night onboard, we decided to have dinner at Extra Virgin, and it was the perfect way to close out the trip.
It felt elevated, romantic, and just the right amount of “we’re ending this vacation the right way.”
And even though it wasn’t Scarlet Night, we still kept the fun going—we hung out, enjoyed the vibe onboard, and did some Latin dancing again.
Because clearly that became our theme:
Good food + good music + good dancing = the perfect vacation formula.
Final Thoughts: Is Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady Worth It?
If you want a cruise that feels like:
A modern luxury getaway
Adults-only peace and grown vibes
Dining that feels like a foodie tour
Entertainment that actually feels high quality
Relaxation without chaos
Then yes…
Virgin Voyages Scarlet Lady is absolutely worth it.
It’s the kind of cruise that feels like freedom. Like fun. Like ease. Like a reset.
And it’s perfect whether you’re celebrating something special or simply taking time to enjoy life and make memories.
